Community Beyond our offices, there’s another community we love being part of…

We moved to the Blue Mountains because we love it here.

While our work keeps us mainly inside, we love nothing more than getting beyond the office walls and enjoying the best that this area has to offer. And a lot of the ‘best’ in this area revolves around the people and the community here.

Our community involvements

We realise that, while we may be time poor because we work hard, we’re extremely fortunate with what we have. Some of the community projects we’re involved in include:

RDA

Gen assists with fundraising, committee duties and taking RDA riders to competitions at the Riding for Disabled Richmond Centre. This is located at the Secret Garden, UWS Richmond: 15 beautiful acres set aside for the community and people with disabilities.

Free Spirit

Gen is also involved in equine assisted learning (EAL), where horses work with people to improve the social, mental, and personal development outcomes for people with mental health and other disabilities. She assists in running EAL days at the Secret Garden.

Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children

We also sponsor the Royal Institute For Deaf & Blind Children, in Sydney.

The Smith Family

In the wider community, we sponsor two Smith Family children.

Winmalee Netball Club

And not to forget our sporting commitments, we sponsor the Winmalee Netball Team.

World Vision

In a more global sense, we sponsor two World Vision children and contribute annually to Sala Bai, a Cambodian Hotel School for the poorest of the poor, which trains youngsters in the hospitality industry.
